The UN Platform is a toolset that application developers can apply to use Location Based Services (LBS) across multiple carriers, without having to write integration for each individual one. Products can make calls to the UN Platform, get back all the location information they need, and be secure in the knowledge that they are adhering to each carriers privacy and security requirements.

Carriers

For carriers, the UN Platform is an efficient and time saving integration service that brings content providers to the table who are, by definition, in compliance with all the privacy rules and other location related regulations. The UN Platform itself provides carriers with financial transaction services and a full audit trail, further easing the integration process.

Consumers

For the consumer, applications running through the UN Platform provide full control of location disclosure — they control who sees their location, when the other party can see it, even how much detail they see about where the consumer are. The user can update rules and boundaries anytime, via a variety of methods.
