RetailPulse Analytics integrated Useful Networks' platform to enhance their data offerings to retail clients. The project focused on securely collecting anonymized mobile presence data from consented users, allowing RetailPulse to accurately measure foot traffic into physical retail locations. A key aspect was the ability to analyze dwell times – how long customers spent within specific store zones or the entire store – which was then correlated with sales data to identify high-performing areas and potential bottlenecks in store layouts. Furthermore, the platform provided insights into cross-visitation patterns, revealing customer journeys between different stores within a retail chain or even to competitor locations, offering valuable competitive intelligence. Useful Networks also enabled attribution modeling, helping RetailPulse's clients understand the direct impact of their mobile advertising campaigns on in-store visits.
